The National Disease Registration Service (NDRS) has worked with NHS trust providers to produce an excel data view template to assist with the data collection for the COSD dataset. For users of the Somerset Cancer Registry system as their trust cancer management software, the SCR COSD data view template is available for download. For any trust using a different software as their cancer management system the ‘other systems’ data view template is available for download.

This template is designed to give an overview of data completeness on a per-patient-per-tumour level. This has been produced to allow oversight of data completeness for cancer services departments pre-submission to allow for quality assurance checks. The templates have been setup using NDRS registration logic to allow clarity on how the data could be reported in post-submission reporting.

The completeness statistics within the document however are to be considered as a guide only and statistics within the template may vary from published performance on the NDRS cancerstats2 platform.
