Methodology
Sickness absence rates are calculated by dividing the “Full Time Equivalent (FTE) number of Days Sick” (including non-working days) by the “FTE Number of Days available” for each month, staff group, NHSE region or organisation from the absence dimension within the ESR Data Warehouse.
Sickness absence rates by reason are calculated by dividing the "Full Time Equivalent (FTE) number of Days Sick by reason" (including non-working days) by the "Full Time Equivalent (FTE) number of Days Sick due to all reasons" (including non-working days) for each month and staff group from the absence dimension within the ESR Data Warehouse.
