Immersive is a cyber security learning platform for NHS staff. It offers tailored learning to help you build the skills and confidence to stay cyber safe. 
 
You can choose learning pathways that match your role, team or department. Whether you're just starting out or want to deepen your cyber knowledge, Immersive can support your development.


Who can access immersive

Centrally funded user licenses are available for: 

  • NHS trusts 
  • integrated care boards 
  • commissioning support units 
  • NHS supporting organisations, such as health informatics services 

You will need an NHS.net or NHS.uk account to become a user. You can register as an individual or sign up your whole team or organisation. We’ll support you through the process.

NHS.net Connect Single Sign-On (SSO)

You can now use NHS.net Connect Single Sign-On (SSO) to access Immersive Labs.

After you receive your registration instructions, select the Single Sign-On option.


The NHS Persona Programme

This programme helps align staff to specific NHS personas, such as: 

  • clinical staff 
  • operational staff 
  • technical teams 
  • leadership roles 

This approach ensures that learning is relevant to each role and supports targeted development. It also helps organisations scale their use of Immersive by offering:

  • bulk user upload via CSV

  • insights to help identify where to begin your cyber resilience journey

A learning journey for anyone who wants to build cyber resilience from the ground up. 

CAF Programme

Hands-on labs aligned to the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF). Includes crisis simulations to help you apply what you’ve learned in real-world scenarios.


Crisis simulation exercises for healthcare

Practice how to respond to cyber incidents in a safe, guided environment. You can take part on your own or with a facilitator. Your responses are scored to help you improve. Scenarios include: 

  • operational business continuity 
  • clinical operational crises

National Technical Exercise

Take part in the annual NHS-wide cyber exercise. Join as an individual or team and work through a Cyber Range Exercise supported by subject matter experts.


Recruitment support

Use Immersive to assess and screen candidates for cyber roles. Choose from ready-made assessments or create your own. This helps you: 

  • understand a candidate’s skills and motivation 
  • prepare interview questions

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits

You can earn CPE credits for completing challenges on the platform. Typically, 1 hour of learning equals 1 CPE credit.

Immersive supports the following Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) objectives:

Objective A: Managing security risk

A1.b Your organisation has established roles and responsibilities for the security of networks and information systems at all levels, with clear and well-understood channels for communicating and escalating risks.

Objective B: Defending systems against cyber attack

B6.b The people who support the operation of your essential function are appropriately trained in cyber security. A range of approaches to cyber security training, awareness and communications are employed.
