Changing GP surgery in the NHS App
Patients can view their current GP surgery and register with a new GP surgery in the NHS App.
What you need to know
Your GP surgery
Patients can view their current GP surgery details in the NHS App, including the practice name, address and contact information. This can be found in the Profile section under Personal details.
Change GP surgery
Patients can then choose to change their GP surgery.
When patients apply to a new practice, their application is sent to the practice for review. The practice can accept or reject applications based on their criteria. The service automatically checks if patients are within the practice catchment area and matches them to their NHS records.
Please note, if a patient manages health services for someone else in the NHS App, they cannot view or change their GP surgery in the App.
