NHS Apply for Care ID release 4.0.1

Apply for Care ID will release version 4.0.1 on 11 February 2026, subject to final approval.

Included in this release:

• Angular upgrade to version 19 to enhance security
• a fix for an issue where captured images were rotated instead of keeping their original orientation

We expect there to be no downtime during the release.

Errors after the release

There is a small chance that after this release, Apply for Care ID users may see a blank screen or loading error. If this happens, please try these steps:

• force a reload of the page - press Ctrl + F5 (on some computers this can be Fn + F5)
• clear your browser's cache - press Ctrl + Shift + Delete

If you have a Registration Authority Manager or Agent role and you would like to request a new domain to be added, check the CIS allow-list first, and then complete a webform request.
