13 May 2026 - Release 1.6.18

What we’ve fixed

NHS number entry during record review

You can now continue reviewing records after entering an NHS number where one was previously missing.

What’s improved

Records without an NHS number (shown as “N/A”) can now be progressed after entering the correct NHS number

Why this matters

Previously, entering an NHS number returned you to the review list and stopped you from progressing the record. This has now been resolved.

What we’ve changed 

Build version number throughout the service

We’ve added the build version number to the service footer so you can easily see which version you’re using.

29 April 2026 - Release 1.6.17

What we’ve changed

Improvement made to the document preview experience in the review section of the NDR.

Previously, when reviewing scanned paper notes and selecting 'No' to indicate that demographics were not correct, the preview screen also displayed existing scanned paper notes linked to the patient’s NHS number, in addition to the files included in the current review.

This has now been corrected.

The preview will now only display the documents that are part of the current review, ensuring that users are only shown relevant files.

This release focused on internal improvements to reliability and quality of the service. There are no visible changes for users.

What’s new

You can now:

  • reassign pages in scanned paper notes to another patient
  • view version history for scanned paper notes, and restore them to a previous version
  • restrict staff from accessing patient records in the service

What we’ve changed 

We’ve added the date a patient record was created and last edited to the Lloyd George summary report. You will see this information when you download the report.

18 March 2026 - Release 1.6.14

What we’ve fixed

Refreshing a page while reviewing documents

We fixed an issue where refreshing the page during document review showed a blank screen.

Now, if you refresh while reviewing a document, you’ll be taken back to the 'Documents to review' page. This will make it easier for you to continue your work.

Error messages when uploading EHR notes and attachments

We’ve improved how error messages appear when you upload electronic health record (EHR) notes or attachments.

If you add files on the 'Choose electronic health record (EHR) notes' or 'Choose electronic health record (EHR) attachments to upload' pages and then use the skip link to continue, the error message will now appear above the files you need to remove. This makes it easier to understand the problem and complete your upload.

4 March 2026 - Release 1.6.13

What we’ve changed

We’ve changed how we display buttons on a patient Lloyd George record page. You’ll now find the document actions in a panel above the patient’s document. For scanned paper notes, this replaces the green 'Add files' button.

We’ve launched 2 new features which enable practices to upload and review documents before they are stored in the service.

Upload a document

Practices can now upload:

  • Lloyd George scanned paper notes
  • additional pages to a patient’s existing scanned paper notes
  • a full electronic health record if it cannot be transferred electronically
  • letters and documents for a patient who has left your practice

Start uploading a document by going to the patient’s record and selecting the button Upload documents for this patient, then select the type of document you need to upload.

Review documents waiting for storage in the service

You can now review documents for patient’s registered at your practice before they’re stored in the service.

Documents will be listed for you to review if:

  • a patient’s previous practice uploads them 
  • they did not upload successfully when your practice bulk transferred its records into the service 

You can review each document and decide whether to store it in the service.

Start reviewing your documents by selecting Admin hub on the home screen, then Review documents.

4 February 2026 - Release 1.6.11

We’re now displaying a cookies banner on our service pages. The banner will disappear when you choose a preference. You can change your cookie settings at any time in the cookies page.

What we’ve changed

We’ve removed the banner about reduced support for the service between 24 December 2025 and 2 January 2026. The service has resumed its full level of support.

What’s new

We’ve displayed a banner on the service’s start page to notify users that there will be reduced support for the service between 24 December 2025 and 2 January 2026. What’s changed

We’ve changed the content and design of the ‘Manage Lloyd George records’ page for PCSE users to reflect the new document types that can be stored in the service for a patient.

The main changes are:

  • the demographic information and table style has been updated in line with how these are displayed in the rest of the service
  • new columns have been added to the table to show the document type
