DAPB2026 (Formerly SCCI2026): Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Enhanced Dataset
The FGM Enhanced Dataset requires organisations to record collect and return detailed information about FGM within the patient population, as treated by the NHS in England.
Since 2015 NHSE has collected data on FGM related attendances in healthcare settings. FGM ED data is used to enhance NHS support and plan FGM healthcare services. Additionally, this information enables multi-agency collaboration to develop strategic community initiatives aimed at preventing FGM.
During 23/24 NHS England conducted a review and recommended amendments to the existing dataset with the aim to improve the data quality and completeness. This will support national and local policy and service planning.
