Ambulance Data Set Analytical Technical Output Specification
The Ambulance Data Set (ADS) Analytical Technical Output Specification (ATOS) is a data dictionary intended for use by all users of the ADS Data Product. Data dictionaries work in the same way as normal dictionaries, but they contain information about data items.
This ADS ATOS document contains detailed information of all the fields available in the ADS data product for all ambulance calls and activity, primarily for the new Federated Data Platform (FDP) environment. However, all information relating to both the Data Access Environment (DAE) views and UDAL views are included for completeness.
It describes how and where this curation takes place to create the data product to promote clarity and transparency to our users facilitating effective utilisation of the data for their own analytical needs.
Details of fields that are cleaned following submission, or derived are also included as well as any known data item issues.
Details on the submitted data and the full list of all valid SNOMED-CT codes and descriptions, for each field, can be found within the ADS Specification 1.61 Ambulance Data Set NHS Futures page. You will need a NHS Futures account to login.
