The Ambulance Data Set (ADS) is national data set, combining data from Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems to follow and understand patient journeys from the ambulance service into other urgent and emergency healthcare settings.

Ambulance Data Set (ADS) data product

The ADS data product is created from data submitted to NHS England as part of the FHIR data model between the ambulance trusts and NHS England.

Ambulance Data Set: Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Data

Data Provision Notice to require the submission of operational data from Ambulance Services, as the first part of the national implementation of an Ambulance Data Set. The EPR (Electronic Patient Record) component of the data is currently paused (as of 2025/26) to allow the programme to build momentum through early success with CAD.
