England-level statistics for people in contact with NHS Talking Therapies services for the period 2024/25:

1. The total number of people who received high – intensity CBT (step 3).

2. A breakdown of these patients by ethnicity, specifically: Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Black Caribbean, and Black African

3. For each ethnic group:

• The number of patients treated

• The percentage of the total cohort of people of all ethnicities who have received CBT

4. Whether the dataset identifies the therapy modality (CBT) and intensity level (high – intensity/step 3) in separate fields or a combined field.

Our response

In response we have provided analysis showing the number of people receiving CBT in NHS Talking Therapies in 2024-25 for all available ethnic groups, alongside the total number of people receiving CBT. The percentage of the total number of people receiving CBT within each ethnic group is also presented.
