A request to provide the following numbers for England, covering the years 2018 to 2025.

1. Number of unique individuals aged 18 – 23 who were in contact with NHS – funded secondary mental health services during each year listed above.

2. A breakdown of these figures by sex (male and female).

3. Of those aged 18 – 23, the number of unique individuals with a recorded primary diagnosis of

  • anxiety disorders (ICD – 10 codes F – 41 and F – 43) and/or
  • depressive disorders (ICD-ICD-10 codes F32 – F33 and F – 38)

Broken down by:

  • year
  • sex (male and female)

Our response

In response we provided:

  • number of people in contact with services aged 18-23
  • number of people in contact with services aged 18-23, with a primary diagnosis of anxiety and depressive disorders
  • number of people in contact with services aged 18-23, with a primary diagnosis of anxiety disorders
  • number of people in contact with services aged 18-23, with a primary diagnosis of depressive disorders
