The additional-attribute CodeSystem is held on the NHS England Terminology Server (ODS Instance) which can be used to publish new and non-standard data attributes associated with an ODS record, that do not fit into other components of the data model. Data attributes are new, and coverage may vary, therefore the data should be used with caution.

The CodeSystem is subject to change, therefore we suggest that you retrieve the latest version via the API.

You can retrieve reference CodeSystems in full, as they are small enough to be returned in a single query.  

Larger CodeSystems which generally contain instance data cannot be retrieved in full due to their size. 

You can also search or validate individual concepts; codes stored within the CodeSystem.
