Care Identity Management release 8.6
Due for release on 8 January 2026.
Release summary
Care Identity Management release 8.6 goes live on 8 January 2026, subject to final approval.
This release includes the following improvements and fixes to reports:
- active user and user summary dashboard now only shows the expiry dates and serial numbers (and status on summary report) for active, non-cancelled smartcards
- if a user has multiple cards these will appear as a comma separated list within the same row
- the user summary dashboard now includes smartcard type information and the ability to filter that data
- inactive users will no longer appear in the active user report
- various improvements have been made to the layout and display of the positions report
- the users summary dashboard will now display the correct data when filtered to show smartcards expiring within 90 days
We expect there to be no downtime during the release.

Errors after the release
There is a small chance that after this release, visitors to Care Identity Management may receive a blank screen or loading error. If this happens, please try these steps:
- force a reload of the page - press Ctrl + F5 (on some computers this can be Fn + F5)
- clear your browser's cache - press Ctrl + Shift + Delete
