Care Identity Management release 8.17

Care Identity Management release 8.17 goes live on 21 April 2026, subject to final approval. 

This release includes:

• edit and close position optimisations
• addition of the ability for all roles to add a non-smartcard authenticator to their own profile (previously restricted to non-admin roles)
• other minor fixes and improvements

We expect there to be no downtime during the release.
