Care Identity Management release 8.12

Care Identity Management release 8.12 goes live on 12 March 2026, subject to final approval. 

This release includes functionality for a new self-service pilot allowing Specsavers staff to get access to the NHS e-Referral Service. As part of this, the release also improves organisation search to support cross-field matching across organisation name, address and ODS code.

We expect there to be no downtime during the release.

Errors after the release

There is a small chance that after this release, visitors to Care Identity Management may receive a blank screen or loading error. If this happens, please try these steps:

• force a reload of the page - press Ctrl + F5 (on some computers this can be Fn + F5)
• clear your browser's cache - press Ctrl + Shift + Delete
