Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework
The Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF) measures how well care and support services achieve the outcomes that matter most to people. The ASCOF is used both locally and nationally to set priorities for care and support, measure progress and strengthen transparency and accountability.
From financial year 2024/25, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has taken responsibility for the publication of the ASCOF. DHSC has produced an interactive dashboard, which is hosted below.
What you can find out
The adult social care outcomes framework (ASCOF) measures how providers perform on these groups of measures:
- enhancing the quality of life for people with care and support needs
- delaying and reducing the need for care and support
- ensuring that people have a positive experience of care and support
- safeguarding adults whose circumstances make them vulnerable and protecting users from avoidable harm
