KH03 Quarterly Bed Availability and Occupancy

The KH03 data collection is a quarterly collection from all NHS organisations that operate beds, open overnight or day only. It collects the total number of available bed days and the total number of occupied bed days by consultant main specialty. This collection is the primary source of information for briefing on numbers of beds and occupancy by sector.

Data is submitted via the Strategic Data Collection Service (SDCS) submission platform.

Data is collected on a quarterly basis. The exact dates are published on the NHS England Collections timetable webpage. In addition, registered data providers will have access to the exact dates in SDCS.
