Published 12 October 2022 - In line with the GPDPR ministerial commitment, we have undertaken user research to understand how we can improve the user experience associated with Type 1 data opt outs, based on user needs.

Published 7 July 2022 - The research sought to identify awareness of GPDPR and opinions of the issues surrounding it amongst the public. The results of this research will inform an engagement phase with the public and a future communication campaign.

Public perceptions of NHS data use: Rapid literature review

Published July 2021 - A literature review to help understand public concerns about use of healthcare data, and to develop a set of patient-centred principles which will be recommended to NHS Digital.

GP staff survey summary report - General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR)

In May 2022 we launched a national online survey with general practice staff engaging with staff on GPDPR, burden reduction and health data use. Here is a summary of the results.

GP websites - desk research into information about patient data use

Summary research which explored how a small, randomly selected sample of 55 GP surgeries in England communicate to their patients about patient data use via their website.
