At the time of publication it is unclear how GusCrypter is distributed, but as with most ransomware it is likely to be delivered in spam or malvertising campaigns.
The ransomware appends the .GUSv2 or the .bip extension to encrypted files. A ransom note is saved demanding payment in bitcoin.
