At the time of publication it is unclear how ShutAndDance is distributed although there are unconfirmed reports indicating it is being delivered via malicious downloads or spam emails.
Files on the C: drive of the infected device are encrypted with AES encryption and appended with the .ShutUpDance extension. After encoding the command and control server sends a ransom note. The ransomware code appears to be currently in development stage.
