Google has released Chrome version 56.0.2924.76 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This version addresses multiple vulnerabilities that, if exploited, may allow an attacker to take control of an affected system.

Summary

Google has released Chrome version 56.0.2924.76 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This version addresses multiple vulnerabilities that, if exploited, may allow an attacker to take control of an affected system.

Threat details

Google Chrome update 56 has now gone live with a total of 51 fixes to vulnerabilities that affect the browser. Note: Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. Google will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.
