Description

A set of codes to indicate the type of an entity name. This code set conforms the set of codes defined by HL7 v3 EntityNamePartType Enumeration (urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.5.44)

Concept set

Level	Code	Description	Notes
0	FAM	Family	Family name, this is the name that links to the genealogy. In some cultures (e.g. Eritrea) the family name of a son is the first name of his father
0	GIV	Given	Given name. Note: don't call it "first name" since this given names do not always come first
0	INIT	Initials	Person initials as specified by the NHS NPfIT MIM Data Types Implementation Manual and NHS Data Model and Dictionary.
0	PFX	Prefix	A prefix has a strong association to the immediately following name part. A prefix has no implicit trailing white space (it has implicit leading white space though). Note that prefixes can be inverted
0	SFX	Suffix	A suffix has a strong association to the immediately preceding name part. A suffix has no implicit leading white space (it has implicit trailing white space though). Suffices can not be inverted
0	DEL	Delimiter	A delimiter has no meaning other than being literally printed in this name representation. A delimiter has no implicit leading and trailing white space
