A constrained ENTRY containing a collection of data items required to represent current medications. Current medications represents
a list of all prescribed or non-prescribed (e.g. over-the-counter) medications at the time of discharge, including pre-admission
medications that have changed or are continuing without change.
Comprises a single coded Current Medication Activity item and optionally may contain:
- any coded representation(s) of the indication for the medication which includes the indication for changing a current
medication.
- a textual description of the indication for the medication which includes the indication for changing a current medication
if it cannot be coded.
- a coded representation of the medicinal product, dose quantity, dose frequency, past and current course timing, future
course timing, compliance device, and any other medicinal device.
- a textual representation of any dosage instructions that cannot be coded
- a coded representation of any review of the current medication.
- any association with a stopped or recommended medication activity item
- a coded representation of the reconciliation status of the current medication
- a textual representation of any other additional instructions forming part of the medication activity that cannot be coded.
