About Mark

Mark undertook his medical training at the University of Bristol, and then worked in various hospitals in the southwest, before completing GP training in Cornwall, where he became a partner in a small rural practice.

Mark was elected to the BMA GP Committee, including some time as a member of the joint GPC/RCGP IT subcommittee, with an interest in health informatics and the development of the Summary Care Record. Then Mark spent a year as a GP in Australia before returning to Cornwall, where he now works as a sessional doctor in urgent care and the local children’s hospice. He is also a Medical Examiner and has experience as a Named GP for Safeguarding Children.
